Hello dear friends!
I’ll keep this short and sweet: I’m coming to New York next week for an event at Barnes & Noble in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn (Atlantic Ave location), right near where Nick lived when we started dating! If you’re in town, I’d love to see your face, and I’m going to have a little afterparty nearby with some cheesecake, details on that to come. If you can, please spread the event info far and wide, as I have a recurring nightmare of speaking to a mostly empty store while being pelted with cheesecake by the Easter Bunny. Ok, that’s bit of an exaggeration… but I think you get the gist.
Details of the event, and future events below.
I’d love to make this newsletter useful to readers and writers alike, so please let me know your burning questions about the publishing or creative process, and I’ll do my best to answer them. I have deep dives into audiobooks and book covers planned for future missives, as well as more behind-the-scenes-peeks at the happy moments and “blooper reels” of author life.
Upcoming Events!
NYC: Wednesday, April 23, 6:30 PM, Barnes & Noble, 194 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11201
If you’re not in the NYC area, I’ll be doing a daytime virtual B&N event on Tuesday, April 29 at 3pm ET (just put it in your work calendar as “productivity seminar”), and for my Pittsburgh folks, I’ll be launching Murder by Cheesecake locally at Penguin Bookshop in Sewickley on Saturday, April 26 at 5pm. You can RSVP here, the event is free and open to all ages, and there will be cheesecake! You can still show up if you forget to RSVP, but it helps the store and me in planning.)
I’m immensely grateful to all of you who read these emails, who showed up to my event for Nothing Bad Happens Here, and who have bought my books or posted about them online—your support means the world and I would not be able to do this without this village of friends, family, readers, and fellow writers, all of whom coincidentally are extremely good-looking and have excellent taste!
Your friend,
Rachel
